Alter NRG owns a leading plasma gasification technology, developed by Westinghouse, which produces valuable and clean syngas from a multitude of cheap and abundant feedstocks. In many cases, the syngas can be produced at an operating cost of $2 to $4 per MMBtu, net of by-product revenues, and will provide a fixed cost of energy in volatile commodity markets.

The gasification process can utilize all types of renewable feedstocks, including waste and biomass, to meet the social and regulatory demand for affordable and clean energy. As well, the syngas that is produced can be used as a replacement for natural gas or converted into numerous energy products including power, diesel and ethanol.

Alter NRG’s product and service offering is customized to meet the needs of developers. We can provide a fabricated Alter NRG Plasma Gasification System or we can limit our involvement to the design of the Alter NRG Plasma Gasifier and the delivery of the plasma torch systems. Alter NRG sells a single complete Plasma Gasification System for between $10 million and $30 million depending on the size.
