WPC has invested over 30 years and $100 million in research and development of plasma technology.

WPC’s Plasma Center provides complete testing, development and evaluations using high temperature plasma heating. Gasification tests can be conducted as a means to determine:

  • Product gas composition
  • Energy content
  • Emissions
  • Optimal Plasma Gasifier design parameters

Using the data from over 100 pilot tests in WPC’s commercial demonstration plant, Alter NRG and WPC have developed a plasma gasification simulation program which is used as the template for the design and performance modeling of our gasification systems. Additionally, the WPC commercial demonstration plant, is available to test our customers feed materials and validate the modeling assumptions if required to support project financing and permitting needs.
